31 Beads

Hi friends,

I’m Rachel the creator of ‘31 Beads’! Over the last few years I have faithfully kept a journal. Recently the Lord has nudged me towards sharing my thoughts as He stirs them in my heart.

I don’t claim to be a great writer. In fact, I’m positive my writing could easily be picked apart.
But I desire through my own personal testimony and passion for story-telling to seize each opportunity to encourage women of all ages to keep on keeping on! God does not seek our skills or talents; He seeks our hearts, and He empowers ordinary women in extraordinary ways to be used for His glory right where we are!

The biggest heart revelation I have had recently is that Jesus holds on to me so much tighter than I could ever hold on to him. Just think on that truth for a minute!

Just a bit about me:

I was born in Scotland (to English parents) but raised primarily in Alabama. For the past 22 years I have enjoyed being the principal of a small Christian Academy. In January of 2024 I stepped away from that role to serve alongside my husband, Justin, as the co-director of foreign missions for AIM (www.aim.world). We serve primarily in the country of Kenya.

Inspired by my 14 year old daughter LK, I discovered a new found hobby and recently opened my own Jewelry shop ‘31 Beads’. I create simple and dainty jewelry that holds an encouraging and unique message.

I have been married for 22 years and we have 4 children, a son-in-law, and I’m so excited to announce our first grandbaby (a little girl) is on the way!
