(Knowing the Will of God for your Life)
Song of Solomon 6:3 – I am my beloveds, and my beloved is mine…
Young people, please hear me out. This lesson is definitely one that I had to learn the hard way, so maybe I can help save you some unnecessary heartache:

Don’t let how you serve God become your identity. Don’t let your focus be what you feel called to do. Focus on WHO you’re called to be- His! You’re called to be to be His.
If your identity is found in what you do, you will find yourself lost much sooner than you expect. If you focus on whether you’re called to be a pastor, a teacher, a missionary, a mom, a wife then what happens when you’re not that anymore? You will find that you are lost. But if who you are is centered around being His then you will be ok no matter what, because you will always be His.
Minister unto Jesus and everything else will just flow. There is no calling greater than any other. You’re not Mother Theresa. You are you, and God has you where he has you on PURPOSE. What Im saying is don’t reach for a title. Not even the title of ‘full time ministry’. Titles may please people, but only faith pleases god.
So my challenge to you today is to be content – not stagnant – but content in loving Jesus. Everything that He has for you to do will naturally flow as you grow in your relationship with Him.
True Surrender (your life laid down) produces complete dependence. Complete dependence produces restfulness and restfulness produces fruitfulness! Have you ever seen a fruit tree fighting to produce fruit? Of course not – if its roots are deep in the rich soil underneath then the fruit will come while the tree rests in the sun. Let me say it this way – If the roots of your heart are deep in HIM the fruit will mature as you rest in the SON.
His will for your life is NOT hard to find and It’s not that complicated. ABIDE IN HIM and let Him take you where he wants to take you and make you what He wants to make you.
“Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.”
